Most People call the Team Formations "a Gimmick". I'm not Most People.
So Eggman once again threatens to do something with the Chaos Emeralds (Will he ever learn?). and he now has G-mel, who, after Sonic Battle, was rebuilt from Emerl, to assist him.
We start off from Route 99, and the fun starts there. Sonic Advance 3 is different from the other 2 in that it has Team Formations and Tag Abilities. A Hold of the R button calls your player's partner and you can, for example, Glide on Knuckle's Back, Jump higher with Amy's Hammer or Dash across the fields with Sonic. Your partner will also try mimicking whatever moves you make.
The Concept of having a Zone Room is a great feature. It allows you to access any of the Zones at any time and also gives you the chance to switch characters. So instead of speeding through the game in one continuous stretch, you actually can go around and find your Acts to start with, unlocking Characters on the Way.
The Sprite Works are probably the best in the Trilogy, adding realism to the Characters. Brilliant Backgrounds and Colourful Gameplay Levels really shows what the GBA is capable of.
The Sonic Advance Series brings out the Best of Sonic's original 2D side-scrolling platform game, and Sonic Advance 3 is, of course, no exception.
