Yet another good Sonic game
This game features 5 playable characters:
Sonic
Tails
Knuckles (Needs to be unlocked)
Amy (Needs to be unlocked)
Cream (Needs to be unlocked)
It's easy to tell this game apart from the Genesis Sonics for these reasons:
1. Tag Action. Depending on what character and partner you choose you jump or attack differently. And you can tag to reach some high places.
2. The way you enter different levels. In this game you need to go through a big way in each world to enter different levels. After you beat three stages in each zone you go under an Eggman ship and you'll fight against a boss.
Now some teams aren't very good. Particularly the ones with Amy because Amy can't jump normally or sometimes even spin. If you play this with Amy then you'll see what I mean. The Tails/Knuckles team is probably the best team in the game. Knuckles can do a double jump before he glides which can really be helpful. With Tag Action Tails can also fly Knuckles to different places.
The graphics are pretty typical. They didn't dissapoint me but they didn't blow me away either. The sound though is usually just beepy and even the music can be that way too. Sonic games have always been a little beepy but not like this.
And so if you want something that's closer to the Genesis Sonics than any other Sonic game then here it. If you want something exactly them though then you can always wait for "Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis" which will be releasing on GBA and will be a remake of Sonic 1.
