Skate 2 is sweet. Way back to skate one, I was always looking for a skate game. I loved Tony hawk one and Two, but after that it was going down hill fast. So fast that every time They came out with a new one, I played it less and less, till eventually they came out with a new one, and I said whats the point. Its the same fake Ollie a building in one jump kinda game. Like I said the first two were great, but I don't care anymore.
So after looking for a skate game I look the first Skate up online. It had a $30 price tag by then, and hearing about it I wasn't too sure. The whole Idea of using the analog sticks your board and body, one stick controls the body, the other the board. I thought, "that might be to complicating, not sure if I can handle that" But I got to the point where I wanted to try something new and no games were interesting at the time. So I said screw it, I'll buy it, if I don't like it, they will let me get something else.
I went down and got it, and I am really glad I did. No skate game compares to how fun this is. It took me a little bit to get the hang of it, but honestly, after a few minutes of understanding the controls, it was like skating all over again. I had fun, just starting at the bottom and discovering everything you can do. Being a amature in this game was really fun, cause I new there was people a heck of a lot better then me and I want to see what they can do, I watched their videos and got new ideas and new challenges. The feel of skate was amazing. Its just so much fun. The people that don't give it a chance, and like skating, you have got to take some of your time, away from other skating games, and try this out, get the hang of it, and when you do, just go around grinding, I don't get to bored grinding, theres always something I haven't seen before.
I know its about skate 2 though, but I had to let people know that one is where it starts. Number two, it doesn't quite feel like number one, but they make up for that by letting you jump off your board and move things around to make your own spots. That's just sweet, the foot control is a little off, but honestly your not on your feet much anyway, so it doesn't matter too much. In fact I'ma go play it.
