In siren you play as a handful of people in the village of Hanuda in the year of 2006 which quickly turns into a demonic realm, You start off as Kyoya Suda, an 18 year old boy who visits Hanuda island. He witnesses a a religious gathering (which is later explained as the villagers trying to revive Datasushi, after that you play as many more characters ranging from a 70 year old man who is a hunter to a10 year old elementary school student. All of them are trying to get off of the island so they can survive. As you progress the people of the island become more and more deformed, some sprout wings some get hunched over and move extremely fast and have they're heads twisted around backwards, also the cut scenes are what make this game great. They are very disturbing and will make you go "What the ****" i know I'm missing some major details but i think your tired of reading about the story Next comes the game play now when you hear survival horror you think "Man the action is going to be awesome I'll get a RPG and blow these guys up!" no that's not how you play and that's not how you should think either because not everyone in the world has a gun and not everyone in the world is strong enough to kill someone who is 2X stronger than them with something such as a wrench, hammer, crowbar, and so on, and if someone is a preacher and is not allowed to commit violent acts then why would he grab an AK-47 and start mowing guys down? Plus it's a SURVIVAL horror and part of surviving is sneaking and in real life if you try to take on a village of undead husks you'll get your ass stomped before you take one down. So now that you have an idea of what not to expect here is what you should expect. Lots of sneaking which is very fun because you only fight when you have to like in real life. Though in some stages you are supposed to kill everyone in the area, but be careful when you get a gun ammo is on a short supply so only shoot when you are sure to hit. During the many stages you play most of them you have to plan out carefully in order to not get caught and killed. The graphics were good for coming out in 2004 and in cinematic look almost real Basically this game is one of the most if not the scariest games I've ever played, believe me you will **** your pants at some point in this game
