The game doesn't have a story line but it does have a simple plot: Build your way to a great virtual empire which can be a difficult task and takes a while to get the hang of. One way to achieve this is by creating multiple cities in a single region. In Sim City 4, you have the option of connecting roads, and other transport systems from one city to another and even share utilities like power, water, and garbage!
And to add to that you can even monitor the lives of up to 8 residents in your city, and here's a BONUS! Since The Sims and Sim City 4 are by Maxis why not incorporate your Sims into Sim City 4! That's right, you can upload a character from The Sims into Sim City 4!
As far as the music is concerned, the music of Sim City 4 is well suited to the game as all the songs have the localised theme of civilisations in their prime, however, if the Sim City tunes are not your cup of tea, you can add your own custom tunes into the Music directory.
This game is the best in the series by far and is worth the money to own!
