I bought Silent Hill 2 years ago when it was in a bargin bin at Gamestop. It was 9 dollars and it looked cool, so I got it and took it home. When I popped the game in I had no idea what to expect, because I had never played any of the previous games or even heard of the series. I called a buddy to come over and watch me play my "new game". It starts off with a really cool story, you play as James Sunderland who gets a letter from his dead wife of 3 years. The letter says she is waiting for him in their "special place", that special place being Silent Hill. When walked out of the bathroom you start in I instantly knew I was playing something good, I had never seen a game so gritty that felt RIGHT. The fog was overbearing but awesome, as the game progresses it gets more and more eerie. There were points where I had chills running up and down my spine, never have I experienced that same feeling playing a game. The ending of the game was so epic and a major twist that I never saw coming, made the game even better. Overall I find the game to be near perfect, sometimes the controls got a bit annoying but I got used to them. Since playing Silent Hill 2 I have played the rest of the games and the series has become one of my favorite, but Silent Hill 2 is the best in my heart. Pure awesome.
