@firefabric @DamageIncM - HD video all fixed for the Awards! :)

I actually liked James Mohr... lol What I cant stand is random people of the "Industry" trying to be funny and failing terribly at it. Like Miss Violence... (cant she even read from a telepronter, Jesus?)

@firefabric @DamageIncM - I'm checking in on these files right now. Will post here when I can fix it. :)

@DamageIncM @neur0sis - I have the same problem with the 720p video file, both viewed in the player above or downloaded from the download link (Hi-Res version), using Windows Media Player. Cuts out at 1:33:08 as if there is no data afterwards. Low resolution version works ok so the problem should be in the file itself. Hopefully the Hi-Res file can be fixed?

@neur0sis I actually have a different problem with the video here: Whenever it passes... I don't know, about one and a half hour or a little more, it just stops the playback as if it has ended. So I get that 'Related Movies'-tray on the side and the play-button on a black screen. It just "thinks" it has ended although it's only just over 3 quarters of the video. I can't watch the last 20 minutes or so...

50:30 Why the heck is there music from Dimmu Borgir in that game?? Is that actually classical music that already existed before or something?... Have some doubts anyone here would really know that, but yeah, just caught my attention. :P

@taevion0 @metallic - For the long form content like this, it has to progressively download. You can skip, but only to the parts your computer has downloaded. But! Stay tuned in the next couple of weeks... we will have a BETTER media player that will operate much like a certain video website that rhymes with NewCube. ;) We're working to make the video experience much better for our users!

taevion0, i totally agree. Their media player needs some work.

taevion0 10 pts

i hate how u can't fast forward gamespot videos, and i hate how it has to reload the stream everytime instead of saving the upload, it wasn't like this a while ago.

taevion0 10 pts

i love legos, especially a stop-motion action reel

Oh my lord the intro was Awesome !! Lego wars !!

Pikminmaniac 5 pts

Every GOTY awards I see, I can't help but feel the people who vote only played 2 thirds of the good games in each year.

Izak80 5 pts

The awards at least began in the right direction, Best original music should go to Portal 2.

Few thoughts: 1. truth is so painful! 56:07 :D 2. one category for RPGs and MMORPGs is just stupid 3. best story award for Skyrim (instead of The Witcher 2) is just stupid 4. adventure game category with action-adventure nominees inside is (yup!) just stupid.

That was an awesome intro video!

Holy ****! That is the coolest LEGO sequence I have ever seen!! Long live LEGO! Jay Mohr was fine. Thanks to GS for streaming this.

lego brings back memories, good memories

hyksiu 13 pts

I loved Portal 2 and Uncharted 3. I hope to play Arkham City and Skyrim soon:)

TommyT456 6 pts

Aw we didnt get to see Lego Battlefield slaughter Lego MW...

Grovilis 27 pts

The only one I really have a problem with was the Visual Engineering award. Uncharted? Really? If we're going purely technical then I would've said Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, or Shogun 2.

vbgbn 5 pts

That was s*** im sorry, the host was retarded and some of the awards did not go to the right games

PHATDUDESUPREMZ 5 pts

that was amazing i didnt know u can do that with lego but it was amazing good job :)

Grovilis 27 pts

"Are you telling me that I can buy an award?" "No, that's the VGAs" Lol that was pure win.

zzanzabar 11 pts

I'm am I missing something? Was Limbo NOT in this years awards cycle?

GamerBaboo 9 pts

What a turd madeup show. MW3 seriously? that's the biggest waste of money against BF3, but considering this show was totally biased toward Microsoft ( and COD is becoming X360 exclusive) didn't come as much of a surprise....

I have nothing against Jay Mohr, usually find him pretty funny. But any host is going to have trouble with the audience when you start an awards show with a 1/2 hour stand-up gig. He should have kept it to 5 minutes. Fun show anyway, thanks to GS for streaming it.

im tired of game award events being hosted by actors/comedians/musicians or any person that is not involved in game development or that at least is a reviewer or something from the games universe, it makes the industry look bad and it ruins the event. This is not f***ing hollywood or people's choice awards, its videogames, its important

gaTOO 5 pts

and the winner for the game of the year Portal 2, f* you skyrim

wolfbm 6 pts

the show took a bad turn the moment I heard "And here's your host Jay Mohr!!!"

NS_NIXON 5 pts

nice to see this event again :D

zzanzabar 11 pts

They should have done the entire awards show in LEGOS.

I ended up genuinely laughing out loud at this guy, not because his jokes are funny but.... A stale hit/miss comedian is just a great thing

xgalacticax 11 pts

Ugh bringing back memories of the nonsense that was last year's gaming awards.
