jump on ebay right now and buy a genesis and this cart. You need this game.
Long before GTA was pushing the non-linear-storyline envelope, this RPG had the fully explorable city thing already going for it. No deadlines. Just criminal work. Wander around and wipe out pedestrians. Or exterminate ghouls. Or go get a job. Or go hack some corporate mainframe.
Sure, it was 2d. But the simplicity of the graphics was a strength, not a weakness. The ability to project yourself into that little sprite on the screen was a powerful one.
This remains on my list of top three RPGs ever. This was a game that just got everything right.
