Although it may seem like any ordinary racing title, Rush 2049 manages to set itself apart from the masses.
With many clever cars to choose from (my favorite was the Hippie Van :D ), and very well designed tracks with lots of secret nooks and crannies, it's hard to imagine how Gamespot could even consider giving this game a 7.4. You'll find that Rush 2049 is the basis for future arcade racing games. While most of them exceed this game in graphics, they don't exceed it with the heart, humor, creativity and balance that Rush 2049 was gifted with.
The beauty of the game is that it rewards you for racing competetivly and uncomptetetivly. If you simply want to explore the scenery, you'll find secret passageways, stunt half pipes, and odd areas that you can have fun with. (but the game makes you think that it's there by accident. ;) ). If you race competivly, you are rewarded with brand new, highly immersive levels and modes that you can play with your friends.
IThis is truly a racing game created by the gods! A definite buy for anyone who has any sort of tolerence to racing games at all. :D
