Sacred 2 might be buggy, but does it kill the game??

User Rating: 7.5 | Sacred 2: Fallen Angel X360
Sacred 2 – Fallen Angel is a typical "hack-and-slash" game. The game resembles the "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance" series for the consoles, and "Marvel Ultimate Alliance"(Wow, those names sure are similar....).

Sacred 2 takes place 2,000 years before the first game. The plot revolves around a power struggle over and energy source called "T-Energy". I haven't really played the storymode yet, only the multiplayer part. But the multiplayer function works really well, you just need a proper TV to see what the **** is happening on your screen, if you're playing local co-op! Sacred 2 is bugged beyond belief, but still quite enjoyable, especially the multiplayer part! The game isn't as linear as Diablo, so you feel a lot more freedom when you're out solving quests.

The proof that Diablo 3 would work on a console, if they complete production first, that is!

The good:

Features: There are a TON of features!

Cool skills: Some of the skills are simply mind blowing! From summoning a energy rifle, to eating your enemy's soul, to summoning a horde of skeletons or imps!

Nonlinear: You don't need to follow a set path like other games in the genre. You never feel like you've seen everything, and that is a huge plus in that type of game.

The bad:

Crappy spelling: The game is filled with stupid nonsensical sentences, and some spelling errors. Can sometimes be really misleading regarding skills.

Broken: The game is incredibly bugged. Some of the skills you can learn are broken, and if you want a patch, forget it! Ascaron has been in a financial bind since April, because of the prolonged development on Sacred 2, and yet the game is still bugged?? I never understood the Germans...

Graphical errors: On some of the armors, the filler from the shop stays on, like for instance a helmet. The indicator to show where the head was supposed to be remained after it was equipped. And there are some clipping errors, such as running over a bridge and some water started to splash underneath my character's feet.

Retardation: At some points the game is just plain idiotic. Like running around to find a band's equipment, to armors with arrows pointing towards the crotch.

Conclusion:

Only buy this game if you love games like Diablo, Dark Alliance, Ultimate Alliance, and that type of gameplay. The game is extremely flawed, and it's hard believe that Ascaron financial trouble because they used too much time on this game.
