Horrible Game, Way to easy on easy, game cheats like crazy on hard, tons of bugs and mistakes, not good value at all.

Bad graphics, poor passing, brain dead AI, unenjoyable experience and a total waste of time and money, this sums up my experience with RWC 2011. This very poor Xbox 360 game is virtually a clone of the '08 release on Playstation 2 but for some or other reason that game was even better, partly because it was 4 years ago and for it's era wasn't the best but you could really expect better. 4 years later however for a game to be brought out on an HD platform with controls, graphics, game modes and experience the way they are on most sporting games it is extremely disappointing that a 4 year wait has produced something this bad. NFL, NHL, FIFA, Tiger Woods and many other are not only in a different class to this game but they are cheaper and far more enjoyable. Playing Rugby WC 2011 is very familiar because you last played it 4 years ago but you won't forget the controls, the problem now is in the '08 version the game was so easy you could beat any team on the hard setting by 40 points. Try this in the 2011 version, no way, not because the game does a good job of being difficult more because you AI will knock on balls, give away penalties, you will loose all your line outs and scrums, the kickers are like robots, every kick sales straight through the polls, and touch finders are always 5 meters from your own try line even if the kick was kicked from the opposition try line and then again you loose your own line out. Your AI cannot tackle, they miss everything and do not, I repeat do not go to ground with the ball as it will be a turn over and you will be defending once again. The game is that bad that if you are leading in a hard match, the opposition will eventually score somehow no matter what you do so that they lead once again. Even playing against Japan as New Zealand is extremely difficult because of the way the game cheats to make it difficult. The most annoying out of everything though is the fact that you press buttons to pass, or quick pass and sometimes even to tackle and nothing, your guys do nothing, on Med and Easy this is never a problem but on hard you press the button to pass and you fly half just holds on and takes the hit. Another very irritating thing is you will have found loads of space on the wing and as you are about to take off somehow someway an opposition prop tackler makes a 10m dive tackle on your wing at speed to stop you from attacking, this is absurd. Then on Easy and Medium you will run through teams and easily score more than a point per minute, you will knock up 100 point totals in a match easily and this is on Medium against a team like France. It becomes so easy that it is boring, the only challenge is seeing how many different ways you can score tries in the game. The holes in back line defence are so big you can drive trucks through them and you can easily win every line out, every scrum and all the ball on the ground, the opposition doesn't stand a chance. Besides for all those hassles the menus don't look too bad and the 4 options of commentators as a good addition however to pay the price tag for this game to get half decent menus and commentators is a total waste of money. The rugby world cup is approaching us and my concern is that we will not have a decent game to play when the fever hits, I don't hold too much hope for RC either after reading a few reviews on the forums. There is only one word for the release of RWC2011 and that is "pathetic", it is really a pathetic attempt at making a rugby game on an HD platform, get EA back and start doing something decent or not only will Rugby die in the gaming industry but you are just making your own names A$$. Will try RC and comment on that to but don't hold your breath.
