Root Beer Tapper Review
--------------------------------------

This is definately an interesting game to play. It seems easy at first...but once you get to the upper levels....It gets pretty tough. Here's my review to tell you some Ups and some Downs for one old old game, brought back from the dead! Gameplay - Tossing root beers to the thirsty patrons, seems fairly easy. You can pick this up easily as all you do is get the people out of the place, by throwing the root beers, but oh wait....you can't break the root beer cups, let a person get to the end of the bar, or throw a cup when no one is there. It sounds confusing, as it should, but it's still fun. This game is a total of 400 points and is definately worth it. It has mutliplayer which is playing through the same thing as Arcade, but having not to lose all your lives and still gaining points. You gain points by either getting people out of the bar, grabbing their cup they send back, or by finishing the level. It's pretty simple but it's a good idea to take it slow as you don't want to head to the higher levels so early. I'm not sure if you beat the game, which is ten levels, in VERSUS mode that you can get an automatic win. I don't even know if it's possible, but it might be. There is two modes to play online....VERSUS which you can play Ranked and Player. And Co-op which you can only play on Player Match.

Co-op is playing with a friend through the game, it's just that you don't see each other during the course of this, only hear each other, or just see their points. Your points combine with each other during the Co-op, which is nice but it would have been alot more fun if you can see each other in the same bar and play in that same bar. Graphics The graphics aren't that good and they should have really revamped them into a better looking game. It's not that bad but it kinda looks like a Game Boy game. Sort of! Sound The sound is very repetitive later in the game, but it's nice to hear the sound once in awhile. Remember you can always just change the sound by choosing a song off a playlist. Value You got VERSUS, Co-op, the Arcade Game, Leaderboards, and achievements. What else do you need? It's a worth the 400 Points ($5.00) to buy this game if you want. It's not a bad buy at all and it's possibly one of first good games of the year for XBLA. Bottomline If you want a game that has all the things mentioned above then buy it. But if you hate typical techno music, then STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
