Ristar is one of the most beautiful games I have played, even when I compare it to todays games. Its so colourful and has nice sound, with cute sound effects and nice catchy tunes for the music. You play as the son of a hero, you are a star, called Ristar, and you have to save your dad and worlds that are being taken over by some villain. Although this game certainly looks like a kids game I can assure it is not, this game is tough in the last qaurter, the first few worlds you are playing on feel simple but will get challenging later on. There are a lot of interesting settings, you get the usual places you play in these games such as a forest world, ice world and desert world but you also get a music world, mechanical world and some more. It is at a moderate length and if you want a challenge you can go around unlocking treasure on every level so you can unlock passwords which give challenges and new music. This game has very simple controls, you can move, jump and grab. You use grabbing for most tasks and has many uses, at the end of the day I do recommend this but if you cant find it or you wish it was on another console then have no fear. If you would only buy it on a modern day console then buy Sonic Mega Collection Plus where you can unlock this game and play it.
