A great sequel to the original

When I first got Resident Evil it was actually the GC version. I loved the game so much i set out just to get the PS versions of 2 and 3 considering reviews were saying they were much better and since I had a PS2 all ready to play with. I purchased them online and when I got them I immediatly started playing the second.

This game has great 3D environments and considering its release date was in 1997 for the time the graphics of this game would of been great.
Gameplay is simple and crisp and the way it plays doesnt differ much from the other Resident Evils so its really easy to quickly get involved in the fun gameplay and puzzle solving.
Sound in the game really enhances the mood of the places you are playing through, whether it be the police department, sewer etc. The games replay value is great because once you finish playing as one character, you start the story again as the other character (either Leon or Claire) and see their side of the story in a different scenario. Other extras include a ton of unlockable weapons and characters at the end including HUNK and some weird block of tofu.
My only problem with the game itself was that although its set in Raccoon City, you spend most of your time inside buildings and travelling over and coming out other buildings via. sewers and underground passages. That dissapointed me because I wanted to do more street/free exploring and be able to see the city itself rather than just exploring through compulsary buildings. Still, its a great game that definently adds more action and fun to the series and is a must for any action gamer, as well as eager players for a new peice of the Resident Evil storyline.
