One of the games that must be owned on the gamecube.

Thank you for reading my review! I appreciate it. Capcom has always made fun and innovative games, but Resident Evil was a hit when it first came out. It still is to this day. Resident Evil was released on November 10, 2002 for the gamecube. Resident Evil 0 is a must have for the gamecube, but I have not played Resident Evil 4 just yet. Now, on to the review.

Gameplay/Plot: The storyline is about a train accident in 1998. The two main characters are Rebecca Chambers, an 18 year old S.T.A.R.S officer and Billy Coen, a 26 year old ex-marine who just escaped prison. Each character has their pros and cons. Rebecca Chambers can mix herbs, medicines, and chemicals, but she is weak combat wise. Billy Coen is strong in combat and can move heavy objects, but he cannot mix medicines, chemicals, and herbs together. There are 5 to 6 areas you have to reach in the game. The first being the Express train, then Umbrella Corporations, Church, a train stop that is rather hard to explain, and the final stage boss of course. The gameplay is fun and cooperative, with plenty to do and gives you a lot of time to complete the game. The enemies include the Classic Zombies, Cerberus, and Plague Crawlers.

Graphics: The graphics are good as usual. The cutscenes look the best in my opinion, since the thing in the cutscenes look real.

Difficulty: The difficulty is just right. Not too hard or easy, just in between. The most trouble you will have is possibly with the last boss. The second to last boss is also difficult. The difficulties are Easy, Normal, and Hard.

Overall: Like I had said earlier in the review, this game is a must have for the gamecube. And if you like the Resident Evil series, this should be up your alley.
