Quest for Booty continues the Ratchet & Clank quota of fun, regardless of whether it's digital or not.
The gameplay in Quest for Booty isn't much different from previous installments, though that isn't a bad thing. One major addition has been added though, Ratchet can now do a bit more with his wrench, such as pick things up or pull things with a magnetic tether. This time, combat is put in the backseat and platforming is driving. Since this game has a huge focus on the series' most underused aspects, mainly platforming and puzzle-solving, it's appreciated that we can see how good they truly are.
Ratchet is without Clank this time so he can no longer hover or high jump, so this focuses more on Ratchet's strength, his wrench. His wrench is used in all kinds of puzzles, such as tightening bolts and picking objects up and moving it to another location. These puzzles may be simple but they're fun and the control is there.
The music is pirate influenced and it sounds really epic. The music is fitting for the adventure and all the sound effects are in the right place. The voice actors do a great job like usual and the game still has humorous dialogue.
The presentation is a highlight since this is a PSN game. The game looks just as good, if not better, than Tools of Destruction. The environments are all, obviously, pirate themed and are fun to look at. The characters look great and the rest of the game is amazing for a digital game.
So, while this is just a filler as well as a test, this is a really good game. If you are looking for a fun-filled platformer to keep you busy for a little while, or if you're a series fan, look this game up.
