For its price tag of 20$, it's hard to recommend this short and uninteresting experience that has no challenge or replay

User Rating: 5.5 | Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty PS3
Quest for Booty is a Ratchet & Clank mini adventure, a stand alone DLC pack which consists of only a handful of weapons and areas to explore. It doesn't really offer anything new, it's more like an expansion pack for Tools of Destruction than it is another entry in the series. You'll be fighting against the same enemies, with the same weapons which are simply handed to you later on.

Quest for Booty is very short, it will only take you a couple of hours to finish it. The first half of the game doesn't even have any weapons or action, you'll just be platforming around and whacking stuff with your wrench until you reach the half way mark, then you'll be given a few weapons but you will hardly get to upgrade them because the game is soon over anyway.

You'll be bashing crates and collecting bolts at almost every step, but the game is lacking vendors or anything interesting to actually use them on. At first you'll need a little amount of bolts to continue the story, and later you can trade them in for a new weapon or two, but only through conversations instead of vendors.

That said there are couple of new features in Quest for Booty. The first is the new way to use your wrench, now you can throw it to attach it onto certain points with which you can then move platforms or extend bridges. The other new interesting feature is the light you use in dark places. You can pick up little glowing creatures to light your way in certain areas, or scare away some enemies as well. They are interesting at first, but they don't change the way you play the game.

The whole game takes place on a single planet, with about 4 small locations to explore, without any secret stuff to collect or goodies to unlock at all. The story also doesn't take a big step forward, in fact so little happens that's of importance that it's better to skip this one and move to the next big Ratchet game.

For its price tag of 20$, it's hard to recommend this short and uninteresting experience that has no challenge or replay value.
