Quest for booty offers a fun little platforming romp for a great price

Ratchet and Clanks latest outing is a bit unusual as it is only availiable on PSN and is only about 4 hours long. But what an awesome 4 hours those are! The game is incredibly well designed, with all the polish and tightness you'd expect from the guys at insomniac. Since you've lost clank this time around, the gameplay is tweaked to make it feel like more of an old school platformer (you cant just glide past all the challenging bits anymore), but I found this as a refreshing change of pace. The new wrench also brings some great new elements to the formula, as you are now able to target special platforms and objects with its tether ability. You can also pick up objects with it such as little critters that light your way in many of the dark caverns of this adventure. The story is original and well developed with a hilarious narrative by Rusty Pete. Sadly there are no new weapons in this title, and the upgrading goes very quickly and is largely under emphasized. Still there are some great fire fights this time and some cool new foes. For 14.99 theres absolutely no reason why any Ratchet and Clank fan shouldn't pick this up.
