Graphic Novels / Visual Novels had always been a dominant (Japanese) market on the PC.

There's more than Graphic Novels / Visual Novels being released on Steam and 3/4 of them aren't even of Japanese origin but done by certain dudes with cringeworthy writing.

Either way, I must be going blind when I'm seeing PC ports like Souls, Xenoverse or even some Koei Tecmo games on Steam. They're clearly a hallucination /sarcasm

MOBA has a moderate presence in Japan - it's more of a "Korean / China / Taiwan / SEA" kind of thing.

See those Japanese games on Steam? Certain companies are already starting to "test the waters" for PC ports and releases. Either way, Japan loves their consoles and PC's primarily a platform for their porn games and indies so deal with it.

Japan having a large gaming industry and an equally large gaming demographic to fuel it must be urban legend then.

@walidras: Unless you exist in a parallel universe where Nintendo makes shepherd pies, they're not "another story".

They've clearly set up Ciri as the new protagonist IMO though I can't really imagine what they could tap into next.
They covered most of the elements of the original book and changed the fate of the world - only thing I could see happening is another Source antagonist or an end to the civil and racial rife in the Northern Kingdoms... or a powerful higher vampire - the games did no credit to higher vampires for starters.

Finally Capcom is getting it right - these characters are unlockable in-game but could be unlocked via paid DLC if the player wishes to do so.
Hope this becomes common practise across the industry and DLCs would be a medium for proper expansion packs instead.
Now we'll just have to see whether Capcom would pull off another "Super Duper Ultra Hyper Collector's Edition Street Fighter Alpha V Omega"

Hope they improve the AI component to the game.
... Either way, anyone feels that this series is a bit too similar to Brave Story?

Meh, I could buy a decent indie or even certain games that are on sale in Steam with those prices.
Trophies are never a selling point for me and I'm not going to buy the same games twice (Particularly since I still own them) - guess there's always PC emulation.
Pretty sure those games are only upscaled in resolution and not pixel size, too - no way Sony is going to do away with the HD "remaster" cash-ins.
