@eva02langley Game development is open source on PC's. Make a game, sell it on a website. Steam on the other hand is not an open platform, not just anyone can get their game on Steam which is why I find Gabe's comments so ironic.
@Cloud_imperium @xxYetterxx @pspearman My point is that Gabe sees it as threat to his monopoly on digital distribution, as he should as MS is ramping up that front by every passing day. So when you hear Gabe say 'I hate Win8, MS is trying to make PC a closed platform' Just remember that as of now, MS has the best chance of dethroning Gabe as the king of digital distribution.
@Zevvion @bdiddytampa So if its a game running on Steam on my PC why wouldn't it just be available on my steam box running Steam OS? Why would streaming be necessary at all?
@frozenux @xxYetterxx @SirNormanislost You can boot to desktop and Win8.1 and change the background of your metro menu so it matches your desktop. It really does just seem more like a menu that overlays on your desktop than a totally different experience (which I found jarring on Win8). Honestly once you get used to Win8.1 you hardly notice the metro interface at all.
