@Simulator_Shock: Wait, there was a Jason reboot a decade ago? Last Jason movie I remember was Freddy vs Jason. Also, I figured Leatherface was Texas Chainsaw Massacre but just was being too lazy to double check so didn't bother writing it. I remember an old commercial for it saying it was based on a true story or something.
Was the Freddy reboot any good? Halloween is doing an alternate re-telling and Chucky is getting rebooted. That just leaves Jason then. Unless you're going to count Leatherface's movies (which I admittedly have never seen). No clue what franchise he's actually apart of and too lazy to google.
@RedWave247: I forgot about Sarah Connor Chronicles. It and Salvation are the only parts of the franchise I have never seen. Everybody says I never need to see Salvation. Is Chronicles really that good?
@shadowwarrior4:Genisys wasn't a reboot. It quite literally had events of the old films still happen at the same time the new ones were happening, outright referenced others and then used split timeline theories to try and explain why all the events didn't match up in the timeline. They then tried to use Kyle Reese as a plot point for why he can see the future and past of timelines that incarnation had never experienced and they simply hand waved it with nexus point pseudo science that made even less sense and to cover their asses further simply said, it was all theoretical so they don't actually know. It was a convoluted mess that made no sense.
Just let the franchise die. I watched everything besides Salvation. Genisys should have been a reboot but they didn't have the balls to carry on without including Ahnuld's greatest hits so it was brought down by all the flaws and convolutions of the old films. The fact they're calling it 6 and aren't rebooting it means the same thing will happen again, especially with the fact they're bringing back Ahnuld yet again along with Hamilton when they're way too old to be in the the same roles they used to as main centerpieces for the movie. Little if any interest in this new one even if Cameron is back.
Doesn't remind me of anything I loved about the first game at all. All this waiting to get a new game with its name but is nothing like it. Doesn't look interesting anyway. I'll pass.
@erhre: Actually no. It's made by the actual director of DMC3 and DMC4. That Japanese guy on the stage was him and it looks great and more like DMC4 than DmC ever was. So many problems fixed from crappy DmC immediately and is actually DMC5. You are clueless. Stop talking about DMC, you know nothing about what makes the franchise good clearly.
