Assuming you don't have a gamepad here is my top 32 list and whether they are playable or not (most nintendo exclusives listed). This will help anyone who may want to pick up a wii u console only on ebay for less than $100. I can attest that the $15 wii u generic pro controller is pretty good as well (aside from the wireless syncing being spotty. This may become a good short/long term idea over the next couple years if Wii U's climb/maintain value due to their scarcity of sales.
This list is assuming your wii u and each game have received the latest update/s. (14 of 32 work) most of the mario and zelda games work! Some may work with both pro controller and wiimote/nunchuck combination!
