@epicgameresearc @whitechapel34 I live in the US haha(the tag is from one of my favorite bands). And I understand the whole NSA thing, as well as agree with the Verizon statement. Your phone company knows everywhere you've been, every text sent, and every web page you've browsed. But unless you have some kind of warrant out for you or are in some kind of legal trouble, I highly doubt their gonna flag your console and monitor your Xbox. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time, but to me just seems like more of a burden on their part and a complete waste of time
@epicgameresearc I respect your opinion about consumer rights and privacy, yet don't completely agree. They were trying to eventually get rid of used games (which don't get me wrong I love used games) but its bound to happen some day. The whole privacy thing got blown way out of hands by trolls and people who were not completely informed about the system. Just because the Kinect had to be plugged in for voice commands doesn't mean they were trying to spy on you. The idea that a company would spend time spying and monitoring millions of its users 24/7 is a bit ridiculous and is almost an impossible task in my opinion. But Sony came out and told gamers what they wanted to hear. Some may consider that respect, others could just see that as good Buisness/Marketing. Their video about used games, which was basically a big middle finger to Microsoft, was brilliant
Coming from a non biased gamer, I don't see everyone's problem with Microsoft. They had what could have been an interesting, unique successful vision. What they failed to do from a business stand point is communicate with their consumers on how these potential changes towards a more digital Xbox could have been beneficial to gamers. MS listened to consumer concerns and are now back pedaling to come out with a console that their fans want. I just don't see why the hate is still there. Microsoft doesn't care about you. Sony doesn't care about you. All they care about the money in your pocket and Sony took a better approach with consumers to get their money. Personally, I don't believe Microsoft was trying to screw everyone over by trying to get rid of used games. Digital is the future. Just like Netflix took out video chains like Blockbuster and Family Video, used game shops unfortunately won't be around forever.
Now there are 2 very similar next gen consoles whose main differences are the controller and exclusive games, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It would have been nice to see something new, but hey s*** happens. I'm looking forward to both consoles because I believe they will be different overall experiences. This generations Xbox Live wiped the floor with the Playstation Network, as well as having some pretty amazing exclusives early on in the consoles life (Bioshock, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo). But later on this gen, Sony stepped its game up with some epic exclusives (Uncharted Series, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain). I'm anxious to see how this gen's overall experience will play out once the consoles are launched.
That being said, both consoles look very promising and I can't wait to get both. Personally, I will probably get the X1 at launch because of the controller, exclusives, and a majority of my friends have Live and wait a couple of months or so to pick up a PS4 (Hopefully Uncharted 4 will get announced). Thats the end of my rant. Happy gaming everyone!
@animatrix999 You should probably invest in some tutoring lessons on how to write proper English before you make yourself look like an even bigger moron. FAIL.
@animatrix999 If your too poor to afford rechargable AA batteries or a $25 play and charge kit, you probably shouldnt be buying a next gen console. fucking idiot.
