I find it odd that, while Lost Planet 2 for Xbox 360 supports system link/LAN, the PS3 version does not. At least there is no mention of it in the manual and no slectable connection option when starting games. Maybe Capcom would release a patch.

MGS: Portable Ops is an awesome game but you'll have some catching up to do for online play. A lot of the people playing online have been doing so since day one. And when you enter a game get ready to see "X killed Y Headshot" a lot. There's a lot of hacking as well - people running around with superhuman characters who have high states and health. It kind of ruins the game.
I can't comment on Syphon Filter because I don't have it. The demo's nice, though. If I had some extra cash lying around I'd pick it up.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. I beat the story mode at least 2 or 3 times a year.
Guardian Heroes. I just keep playing it over and over again... I'll try to take it out of my Saturn only to sit down for another 2 hours with it.
Wipeout XL
Gran Turismo 2
Any of the Street Fighter 2s/Alphas
Tekken 3
I'll add more as I think of them.
Armored Core 2
Armored Core 3
Dead or Alive 2 (still own)
Oni
Zone of Enders
Metal Gear Solid 2: SoL (traded up for Substance)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (still own)
Gran Turismo 3
Gran Turismo 4 (still own)
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
Automodellista
The Path of Neo
The Red Star (still own)
Odin Sphere (still own)
I think that's it. I'm sure I'm missing one or two titles. I went a step further and noted the titles I actually still own.
The Capcom collection (first one I think) has all of the 194x games. And a few other obscure shmups to fill out the rest of the package.
