http://videogames.yahoo.com/feature/feminists-cry-foul-over-fat-princess/1232315

Okay, sorry if this is old news (the article is four days old), but apparently Fat Princess is already getting stepping on some toes with feminists. I honestly didn't think this would happen THIS soon, although I still don't know why.

What are your thoughts on this whole thing? Are these people just overreacting to a game (well, when HAVEN'T people overreacted to a game before? Manhunt anyone?) or do you think they're just trying to make a fuss for some attention?

Before the flames start flaring, I would like to note I'm not against feminism in anyone and this topic caught my eye before I was about to play some games on yahoo and I wanted to see what others thought about it. I also find it very interesting that women are getting POed at Sony, considering (this was at the end of the article) a female made the concept art for the entire game.

I noticed that. The same thing goes for DVDs and CDs. You can see the design really well if you hold up the label to a light. That trick doesn't work with PS1 games or other disks with dark backsides.

Don't ask how I know these things ... waaaaaay too much time on my hands XD

EA can be good an bad, depending on the game. They really disappointed me with the port of the orange box. I never saw the framerate or loading issues people talk about, but the fact that team fortress 2 never saw and update or anything (with the exception of one update) really disappointed me.

However, they've made good games in the past, so I can't say I hate them.

I own one blu ray movie, which is Appleseed: Ex Machina. So, that ranks at spot #1 in the list. Great movie, and awesome visuals.

meh, I really don't care about star ocean. I played the third one and wasn't too impressed. I'll be devastated if the shin megami tensei series becomes a 360/Wii exclusive. Or worse, final fantasy. I play the games that are on the PS3 and forget about those that aren't :P. Good for 360/Wii owners. Now, it's back to waiting for Persona 4 to be released for me.

Well, since you said Kratos had all his weapons and powers, I'm assuming he has the golden fleece and the blade of olympus. In that case, I'd have to say Kratos wins this one, because he can throw all of Goku's energy attacks back at him.

Of course, some of you will probably say "So what? Goku will kick Kratos' a$$ with brute strength." In which case, I simply say that in the beginning of GOW2, Kratos took a hell of a beating from the colossus of rhodes and still came out strong. Of course, that changed when he lost his god powers.

Okay, so I just got a psp slim (the god of war edition, and it's amazing). I followed the instructions to set up remote play, and it works perfectly ... as long as I'm on the same network that my PS3 is on. I know that it works at home, but not at any other hotspots I've been to today. The hotspots didn't have security, and I could access the internet with no problems.

Is there something I need to do to fix this problem? Again, I can't access my PS3 when my PSP is on a network that my PS3 isn't on.

Any help and advice is appreciated.

V.

At any rate, upgrading your hard drive does not void your warranty.

haze_blaze

Actually, I'm saying this with my manual open, it clearly states "services will NOT be provided on any non-PS3 hard disks" in the section that tells you how to replace the hard drive. That just makes me wonder if that voids the entire warranty...

Not saying you're wrong, but I'm just wondering if it would void the warranty or not. I'll just play it safe until my warranty dies with upgrading, I think. Besides, maybe by that time, there will be a bigger HDD in 2.5". I just made this topic because it kinda reminds me of that part in Sicko where they listed all the things that disqualified you for healthcare.

No, this isn't a rant against Sony, just the warranty with the PS3. I apologize if someone else said something about this...

Okay, so I was thinking of upgrading my HDD to a bigger size, but I didn't want to void the warranty. So instead of just buying a 250GB HDD at Compusa, I decided to go home and read over the warranty. This is when I realized how sc3w3d you are if just about ANYTHING happens to it. The following is what is stated in my manual for that void the warranty (which only lasts 1 year after purchase anyway):

This warranty shall not apply if this product is (A) used with products that are not compatible with this product (B) is used for commercial purposes (including rental) (C) Is modified, or tampered with (D) is damaged by acts of God, misuse, abuse, accident, wear and tear, unreasonable use, or by other causes unrelated to defective materials of workmanship (E) Has had the serial number altered, defaced, or removed: or (F) has had the warranty seal on the PS3 Systemaltered, defaced, or removed.

Also, since I don't feel like typing the second part of it, I'll shorten it up. Basically, it states if SCEA has a "reasonable" evidence they had nothing to do with the system breaking or w/e,that voids the warranty as well. I think that's pretty much it for that stuff.

I just wanted to say something about the warranty because people in that PS3 HDD upgrade instruction thing kept saying "it doesn't void the warranty" which is what made me almost upgrade the HDD. But, with as much stuff that people actually needa warranty for, this hardly seem worth it. I remember once when I bought a Halo edition Xbox (don't flame me for owning anXbox a long time ago) when it came out a few years ago from EBgames they actually had a 2 yr. plan that covered all the thing stated in part Dof the bolded area above. Since I got the PS3 when the 60GB went cheap at wal-mart, that warranty wasn't offered as far as I know.

It hardly seems worth it for me to wait to upgradeuntil the warranty dies in late August of this year to upgrade, considering if my PS3 would die, it would most likelybe from one of the things listed above. And if it weren't, I have an odd feeling SCEA would find a "reasonable" to void the warranty.

So, I'm curious, what are your thoughts on the standard warranty that comes with the PS3? Do you have any stories when the warranty didn't work out for you? And, I ask again, don't flame me because I owned the original Xbox some time ago.

I agree that Brute force was fun and it was definantley more worthy of getting a sequel more so than Blinx (Never heard of it).
