hi all, I have been reading the comments and i see that a lot of people like what they see and i also like what i see even if it is like 2 years or so late. But the point in all of this is that again Microsoft thru its coniving ways is trying to tell us what to do instead of listening to the " wants" of the people. a lot of people are putting response like wow! cool ! i will get vista and halo 2.... did they ever sit down and think about this? if your pc is remotely old you are going into having a real slow pc if you migrate to vista. you will need a fairly big cpu lots of ram real good vid card big hard drive and so on and so forth if you think that putting your vista disk in your pc and press install and expect no problem afterwards well good luck... those who are saying i'll buy it probably did not check what is really needed to run vista and how vista would "really" impact their pc. That or the ones saying wow are some punks from microsoft paid to come on these boards and put a wow comment " i'll get halo 2 and vista from time to time"...just to make us believe it is worth it. here are the requirements for vista...read them and weep!!!! Home Basic 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 512 MB of system memory 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory DVD-ROM drive Audio Output Internet access (fees may apply) Additional Requirements Actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your system configuration. Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor can help you determine which features and edition of Windows Vista will run on your computer. While all editions of Windows Vista can support multiple core CPUs, only Windows Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise can support dual processors. Home Premium / Business / Ultimate 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 1 GB of system memory 40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space Support for DirectX 9 graphics with: WDDM Driver 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum) Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware 32 bits per pixel DVD-ROM drive Audio Output Internet access (fees may apply) Additional Requirements Actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your system configuration. Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor can help you determine which features and edition of Windows Vista will run on your computer. While all editions of Windows Vista can support multiple core CPUs, only Windows Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise can support dual processors. Home Premium / Ultimate TV tuner card required for TV functionality (compatible remote control optional). Home Premium / Business / Ultimate Windows Tablet and Touch Technology requires a Tablet PC or a touch screen. Ultimate Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption requires a USB Flash Drive and a system with a TPM 1.2 chip. halo 2 minimum system requirements Requirements pentium 3,4 or amd athlon 1500+ 256 mb memory (512 recommended) 64MB video card (128Mb beter or 256Mb fore best performance) directx 9.0 compatible directx 9.0 compatible sound card (nvidia or sound blaster for best performance) keyboard mouse got it? you need at least a gig of ram for the stupid OS... on top of that put these your firewall your antivirus your msn messenger your musicmatch or equivalent and all other programs that run in the background and eats up your ram and then put Halo 2 on.... so if i do my math correctly you need at least ( bare minimum) if you use vista home premium 1.5 GB of ram to run halo 2 and like i said ad all the other background programs you end up with one slow ass pc! not really worth it if you ask me.... so before saying wow and yeah and a must buy...do your home work and look if your pc can really support all of this for just one game worth 50$ for slightly better graphics? plus it was clearly stated that the game would not even use dx 10 so all the fancy tricks done in dx 10 would not even appear in halo 2....wow what a joke...

I am in an IT class and a lot of my classmate do not believe Vista is worth it for the moment. Bungie is in Lala land with this "must be for vista only " thing. 70% and probably more would be buyers agree that they would not buy this game at this time because it forces them to buy vista. Why is Bungie not getting the message? Are they that much slaves to the M$ empire? In a year or so from now this type of situation would make perfect sense but not right now. I guess they are smoking some heavy $hit at the bungie head office. Either that or they are completely in bed with microsoft on this one. This Bungie venture will flop for sure. Unless you have a pc with vista on it when you bought it , the games are gonna stay on the shelves and i can say that i do have a pc that can push vista and i won't even make the move yet.... To make matters worse for Bungie People would rather spend their money and go buy a 360 that enables them to play halo 2 and the halo 3 upcoming game because you still know that halo 3 is coming around and only for the 360...if you got money to blow and are a die hard halo fan buy a 360 instead....cause you know if you stick to pc you ain't gonna play halo 3 for a couple of years at least...or wait until the new windows comes out in 2009 and are forced to buy that version of windows to play halo 3.. and about this article showing that the pc version of halo 2 looks better on the pc. the xbox 360 has improved the graphics on halo 2 and the comparason picture are jsut plain horrible....i think the xbox pictures were intentionally made to look bad if you ask me just to promote the pc version. gamespot is biased on this halo 2 deal...! R.I.P bungie
