@neroist @Atragon @gufberg wow... i don't agree with atragon, but atlanta is in economic decline right now. they have the 14th largest economy in the world... that does not mean the 14th richest.
uhm... so an example of a "quest" would be, working on a wonder with hundreds of other people. or gathering wood in the forest so that builders will have the resources for said wonder. that doesn't sound like fun to me.
@Jay since you are about who's livelihoods are effected, let's just put all those evil used game retailers out of business. none of them have livelihoods to worry about after all.
@PS2fweak @unitea @Jay right, food and games, almost the same thing! and yes i would question buying a 400 dollar system. the example was my own. im glad that you have so much money that you can afford a $400 dollar system and play 2 games per year. it's your right to do so, but for people like me it doesn't make sense. to me that would be a waste and i do not see the value in it. as much as a love games, if i could only play 2 per year i would just not play any and spend the extra money saved on stuff such as food for me and my family.
@Jay the reality is the people that don't buy a game brand new were never in the market to buy it brand new in the first place. not everyone can afford to buy every game they want at brand new prices. so if you punish those people by making them pay more then they will most likely buy less games. if they start buying less games then all of a sudden they need to question if it's really worth paying 400 bucks for a gaming system that they only play 4-5 games on a year. now the devs lose out on that entire customer base that were buying some games new and some games used.
so... Weerasuriya walks in to a gamestop and flips out on a low waged hourly worker who probably loves to play games. i'm sure he felt like he accomplished a lot that day.
