@Triton:

I believe it is actually American, supposed to be inspired from the "Harlem Hellfighters", a unit from the US.

When Ed says he subscribes to the show just for Jess, Zorine's eyes lit up, haha.

True, but, hopefully, they could use the money to hire more talent and work more on quality assurance, and making sure the gameplay elements are fun.

And if EA has more money, they're less likely (I hope) to pressure companies into rushing their games for the sake of having to meet an annual quota.

I feel like this is a good thing; I'm glad the team is taking the time to look for new talent and refine elements within the game.

Personally, I'll admit, I thought Warfighter was a bit disappointing, but it still has its good points. What I love about the Medal of Honor series is the commitment to authenticity (not 'realism' - which Danger Close is not trying to aim for), with all the equipment, lingo, tactics, and clothing brands, etc. that Tier 1 operators use. Call of Duty, it seems to me, just goes, 'Well, Delta Force probably uses this, so let's put it in the game!'

It's a shame to see the series go down like this, but a long break is needed in order to get things back in order and I'd love to see the series revitalized.

Yeah, sounds like a good idea. Althought I definitely enjoyed Warfighter, there were definitely some significant issues that I wish Danger Close would've paid more attention to such as level design, etc...
Medal of Honor definitely has a special place in my heart when it comes to shooters and I hope they take this time to think about refining gameplay elements, developing new mechanics and hopefully, make a really well thought-out, extraordinary Medal of Honor game. Hopefully, one that'll take more than two years to develop - but for quality and fun.

@MoreThot

From what I understand, SEAL Team Six is their "unofficial" name, and some operators still use that name. I think they don't even use DEVGRU anymore.

After all, it is a highly secretive service, so I doubt anyone here would know its real name.
