Do you really think they'd mass-produce such a popular product knowing the Blu-Ray laser is less functional? Stupid.colibriosisMy original 60gb monolith just died on me and am too trying to solve the slim/super slim problem. However many reviewers are pointin to the original slim as being built better. In response to your comment I think you can clearly see that sony have built the super slim far cheaper than the cost of the more robust slim, so that when the ps4 comes around this can still make a profit when theyneed to drop the price severly.
