I don't really see an issue with this for hardcore offenders; that is people who regularly do it AND are warned by their ISP, yet ignore that warning. Â I will not lie, I have stream pirated content; songs, movies, etc... I don't download anything, but I have streamed a large amount in the past... I did so because it is probably the easiest thing one person can do and there is no punishment for doing so. Â You can literally google it and in seconds be watching or listening to any type of proprietary/copyrighted material on the planet for free, instantly.
Idiot teenagers on the internet bitch all day and night about how evil these bills are, but if they made some kind of copyrighted content I am pretty damn sure their stupid little idiot selves would want the product they created protected. Â I understand boycotting some sections of these legislations such as criminalizing covers and the likes, but something needs to be done because content is pirated at immense levels and it is easier now more than ever. Â The whole reason games, movies, songs, ANY entertainment is created is MONEY... If they can't make a profit they won't f-cking make the stuff.Â
