@Spinnerweb You didn't miss much with Microsoft. I genuinely think that all of the conferences were mediocre, but Nintendo did the best job. There are still some cool new games announced - Lego City for Wii U and 3DS is one, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion. Don't lose hope!
@the_requiem I would beg to differ. There are a number of genres that consoles struggle to deal with without the aid of a keyboard and mouse. Inventing a true strategy game for console is nigh on impossible, and traditional RPGs play much better on PC. I think we have to accept that different platforms have different advantages/disadvantages.
@Faster_Bill Yeah, Nintendo got it right with the focus on games. This late in the console cycle is it really the time to be touting fluff like Smartglass and video partners?
