The Presence of the Gimmicky controllers forces developers to make use of them. Players crave the option to chose how they play a game. With the PS3 and the Xbox the controllers are limited in what they can do, but with the WiiU players bought the console to make use of these different controllers that it offers. Developers who don't utilize these controls would be seen as letting players down as they could not chose how they wanted to play the games offered. This forces developers to make a version that would work with every different controller that the WiiU offers lest they let down any one who wants to use the features of that specific controller. Developers need to create the option to play with the features on or off and not force them of every player, forcing them to play with these features that fell like cheep add-on's to the core game play that cheapen the experience.
