My vote went to Bloodborne because I'm a Dark Souls nut, but I can see why Witcher 3 won, it's a great game- though personally I had more than a few issues with it`s control scheme.
Here's my extremely biased point based breakdown of my top 3 games this year.
#3 Witcher3 (5,500 points) Very impressive: 3000 Gorgeous visuals and a vast, detailed world: 5000 Clunky controls, even after the update -3000 Decent to excellent storytelling: 500
#2 MGSV (7,900 points) Surprisingly fun emergent gameplay and combination of great stealth and great action: 5000 Kinda lame story (from a newcomers perspective): -100 Extremely polished, bug free PC version: 3000
#1 Bloodborne (19,000 points) Exclusive: -5000 Low framerate and bad aliasing due to hardware limitations: -2000 Great Horror Setting: 1000 Incredible 'Souls' gameplay: 15,000 Enigmatic, Deep, Beautiful: 10,000
@masterkushh: At first, I thought it was a great game held back by terrible controls and annoying combat.. kept me from really getting into it. Nowadays (at least on PC) it's quite a bit better. Still feels clunky but it's a worthy game. A solid 3rd place after Bloodborne and MGSV.
