Flashback on an old Acorn 3000!

I had a Wolfeinstein 3D demo which i thought was next gen on the same system.

When Quake dropped on the PC, that also seemed next gen.

Anyone from the UK remember a ITV video game show called Bad Influence! I remember it featured a Sega CD system, and holy s**t that seemed radtastic.

Head to Head with one of my mates playing Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II! Either that or Duke Nukem.

I recently purchased Barbie for my NES (Go read my full review ! ). It's a platform game. Her 'jump' is one of the worst i've come across in any game. The story-line is ridiculous. When you think the game was released in Dec 1991, and the Teen Talk Barbie in the summer of 1992 which sparked off a fair bit of controversy (parodied in the Simpsons episode, Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy) you can imagine it's a bit stupid. I can imagine little girls might not have been too bothered by the game's storyline and naive context, but they would have soon got bored and frustrated by the rubbish controls. Its got a high novelty value though, I love it!

I recently purchased Wrath of the Black Mants also for my NES, at the moment it's the worst game I own, but it's always subject to change.

WARNING - SPOILER BELOW

'Well hello there Lucy! Give me a hard copy of that.' Ray McCoy, and a new Blade Runner game would be nice too!!

I don't remember there being13 different endings in the original though! (wiki blade runner (video game))

Its on my wish list being that it was an intriguing and decidedly tricky game. There were so many variables. Me and my mate spent hours walking around in the rain!

It got decidedly depressing and dark as characters you liked turned out to be replicants or died! Voight-Kampff'ing people and spotting stuff with the ESPER were really ingenious and well pulled off. I'd love to see them return! The graphics were pretty slick as well!
