@LtReviews Also, they took away the minigun and made the plasma gun and other powerful weapons look, feel, and sound completely weak.

@LtReviews Well obviously the tech was limited back in the day. That doesn't mean they should have turned Doom 3 into a half-assed spookfest. To me, true Doom will always be about running and gunning, brutal scenery and monsters, and cool level design that you can actually see. I don't mind advancements, but the flashlight in the dark thing strikes me as a gimmick and changes the fundamentals of the game and the name. Doom 3 did not feel like a "Doom" title to me at all, graphics and tech aside.

If they're going to change Doom 3, they should just turn the lights back on and have no flashlight. It would be much more like old Doom. Doom was always about killing large amounts of demons and gory scenery, not walking around with a flashlight, whether it's armor mounted or hand-held. Beyond the first level, that game is not very suspenseful anyway, which I assume is the whole point of having it dark to the point of always needing a flashlight. I just hope Doom 4 is back on Earth so the lack of lights and outdoor maps won't be an issue.

@MJS88 They actually have a skin of the old Max you can play as in New York Minute, as well as MP2 Max and all of the skins from 3. His MP1 grimace didn't take to the better graphics very well though, it's pretty comical.
