Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this question! We want to set up a game at work to play amongst each other, preferably something turn based like Civilisation III. Ideally, we would like to be able to connect to the game from our desktops and play our turn. Now, am I right in thinking that to play a network game everyone must have the program running on their desktop? If this is the case, then we wouldn't be able to save our game to play the next day (unless we left our computers on overnight, which probably won't always happen). Is there any way to set up the game on a server, for example, so we can all connect and play it when we want? We can keep the server running, but I know there may be issues with different remote desktop sessions, etc. Any help, or tips on how/what to play at work would be good! Thanks

The questions was quite weird to be fair! We've all got fairly powerful computers, so that shouldn't be a problem, but I'll check the requirements! Thanks for the tips, I'll check those games out.

Hi, I used to play Red Alert with friends over the Internet back when I had a 28.8 modem! From memory, we used to just type in each others IP and away we'd go. We want to start playing over the Internet again, instead of going on xbox live a lot, and I wanted to know which games people would recommend. Red Alert was good at the time, because it was simple to set up and simple to play, but I doubt it would work on Vista anyway! Thanks, Ian

Using cracks circumvents federal DMCA laws where you cannot purposefully bypass software security.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that only applies in the US. If you live anywhere else, you'd have to be extradited to america to face that charge. I doubt anyone would be that bothered. I would imagine they are only legal if the person creating the crack has permission to do so from the game creator and if the person using the crack has permission to do so from the game creator. If you wanted to create and use a no-cd crack on Age Of Empires 3, for example, and Microsoft gave you permission to do so, it wouldn't be illegal.
