Is there a way to tell how my attacking unit will be supported by an adjacent unit before I actually choose to attack an enemy?

Or do I just have to wait for the battle to start and see what I get i.e. Hit +10 or Avo. +10.

Is there anywhere that tells you "Frederick gives +10 to Adjcent units" or something like that.

Thanks

I love this game, it's one of the most enjoyable online multiplayer experiences I have ever had. That being sad, this is also one of the most 'buggy' games I have ever played. Here are a few of the key things that frustrate me.

E.O.D. Bot: I love this little guy, it's such a satisfying feeling to drive through all the chaos undetected and plant the M-Com. And to not only plant the M-Com, but to then hide away in a corner waiting for the enemy to come disarm and then rolling out and frying him to death with the torch. It cracks me up, if I can make it to the objective without melting into the ground or into the side of a building, which seems to happen A LOT.

Knifing Animation: I've just snuck up on someone, let's say, a lvl 100 colonel sniping. Oh What fun! I can do anything to him. That knifing animation is pretty sweet plus a lvl 100's dog tags will impress my girl friend, let's do that. *R2* *Knife swipes at him instead of doing instant kill animation* *He realizes I'm there, pulls out 93R* DEAD.

Still getting killed: There have been times when I have seemingly made it to cover, gotten behind a giant block of concrete or made it around the corner of a building only to still wind up dead. This is probably due to the first person perspective and in reality the enemy can still see me, but still, false hope sucks.

Squadding up with your friends: The game gives you the option of joining together with your friends in a squad before finding a match, I'm not sure why, because once you do find a game, you and your friends are scattered to the wind ending up in different squads or not even on the same team.

Random Class Switches: I'll admit this one could be my error but I have heard of other people too having their chosen class randomly switching to another upon respawning. I'll be playing as an engineer the entire round, I die, respawn, WTF! Why am I Support now?

Calling Out Enemies: As I'm sure you all know, hitting select will call out enemies to the rest of your team... if the game feels like it. I have pummeled that select button like I was playing some crazy mini game from Mario Party only to have men, cars, tanks, planes, and helicopters go past unnoticed. It could be that my controller is defective but I doubt it.

Destroying Enemy Equipment: It seems that if you're not standing at the proper distance all attempts to destroy a TUGS/Spawn Beacon/SOFLAM are futile. I've emptied entire clips into Spawn Beacons (standing at point blank range) and not even made a scratch. GRRAAAAAAAAAAAA!

AND NUMBER 1...

Getting Stuck/Vaulting: I'm running along, running along, Screen starts to flash! I'm taking fire! Gotta be quick, gotta get to cover! RUN RUN RUN! Why am I not going anywhere! WTF am I stuck on! DEAD. Turns out there was a tiny piece of rubble at my feet that I  apparently can not walk over or, due to the limited perspective of a FPS, there is something I can not see. Don't know about everyone else but this happens to me a lot. Also, There's a railing in my way, that's o.k. because BF has this sweet vaulting animation! Go! Jump over the railing. Animation starts... stops, still behind the railing. Starts, stops, still behind the railing. Jump over the freaking railing! DEAD. I think I've made my point.

Anything else?

I've never been kicked out but I have told other people to shut up.

On a somewhat related note, when I went to see Van Helsing senior year of high school I had to fart pretty bad and since there was a big action set piece going on I figured "no one will hear". I start to push and just as I fart the action stops. It was dead quiet when that behemonth brewing in my stomach exploded out and nearly the entire theater turned around to look in my direction. One of the funniest moments of my life.

What are some of your favorite?

Some you may think no one knows about?

Some that are down right strange?

I am going to bring up Driver for PSOne. I have always wondered if it was a glitch or something intentional buy the programmers.

If a car is on it's side and you crash into it in the right manner, you will shoot high up into the sky. This bizarre feature has been the cause of numerous multicar crashes flying through the air like in so many Roland Emmerich movies and can be highly humorous.

In order to achieve these results it is best to crash into the light bar of a cop car on its side with either front corner of your car. If you are going slow you will pop up a decent distance but if you are going as fast as you can you will launch well above the buildings and "off of the game". Be warned as you rarely land back on your tires.

And I don't want an RPG, I am looking for a straight up RTS.

Considering you have a GBA you have a lot of options for what you'd like to buy.

There's pretty much every game that has come out except for the DS versions.

If you'd like to feel like you're starting off from the very first game but want something a bit more updated you could get FireRed or LeafGreen as they as updated GBA versions of Pokemon Red and Blue.

I started off with Pokemon Gold which was a good game, but then again, like someone stated before, each game is pretty much the same story. The only difference is what "in game" Pokemon you can catch.

I would at least suggest you get an advanced version, not something that was for Gameboy Color or earlier.

FireRed

LeafGreen

Ruby

Sapphire

Emerald

I would recommend Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald because they come with a pretty nice choice of starters.

Why has there (to the best of my knowledge) not been any real time strategy games for the DS yet? I saw a while ago that one called "War!" was in development but that never seemed to be in the best of shape. I would absolutely love a port of something like Red Alert to the DS. Is there anything out there or in development that I do not know about? Thanks.

I am looking for suggestions for good multiplayer games. Particularly the more simple stuff that you could imagine a girl or older person enjoying. Something that incorporates the touch screen a decent amount. Thanks!
