Why did you skip DA2? ME games are more similar to DA2 than to DAO: fully voiced and named, defined player character, dialogue wheel pertaining to a morality systemampiva

HAHAHAHA oh wow and you think that's actually a good thing?

I didn't. I prefer the good old charactername bhaalspawn type of player character. I simply asked why the OP skipped DA2, which is more similar to ME games than do DA:O.

D2 was a watered down versions of d1..Own it hated it..They really dumbed down the game to a laughable experiance from dao..They even apologized for da2..Saying it will never happen again...

Gladestone1

Bioware did? well, I think the real apology they owe to fans is the ending of ME3. I don't think they ever did apologize for that, though they sort of did it with extending ending and Citadel DLC (which should be free IF they're sincere).

DA2's unforgivable fault is the reused interior maps (in combination with the very limited enemy variety really is a bad deal).

Despite its many flaws, I really like the rival romance and melee friendly fire @ nightmare.

the last three games I completed are Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite.

after finishing BI, I just couldn't helped going back to play the first two games, and this time in 3D Surround (both games came out long before I went 3D gaming)...simply magnificently beautiful.

Currently I was hooked by The Incredible adventure of Van Helsing; never thought I would've been so into an ARPG~ no respawn enemies, interesting main story and side quests, mild implementation of choice-consequence (you can actually spare the life of a boss!!! And some undoable quests according to your answers). Very impressive.

Hello guys,

I've never played any Mass Effect game, I was wondering if I should go for it and play the series? I really liked Dragon Age Origins (only played the first one, skipped DAO2 completely). So what do guys say? I really enjoy RPGs, but Im more inclined to fantasy than Sci-Fi. Thanks!

robertoenrique

Why did you skip DA2? ME games are more similar to DA2 than to DAO: fully voiced and named, defined player character, dialogue wheel pertaining to a morality system.

ME1 has the same reused interior maps as in DA2 (though not as prevalent).

Also, ME triology is definitely Sci-fia contrast to your inclined fantasy.

Anyway, if you need a Bioware, or a character/story driven RPG fix, ME games are easy choices for you.

Personally Id suggest you check out the Drakensang games, The Dark Eye, and The River of time; not as flashy, adrenaline inducing, and dramatic as MEs, but nonetheless very well crafted cLassic fantasy RPGs.

In Mass Effect, all roads lead to a disappointing ending, unfortunately.

psn8214

I concur. It's still worth playing but the third game killed any desire I had to replay any of the games again. That ending... =[

Another vote from me~ just finished the Citadel DLC last week, Horizon is to be my last mission of the trilogy (so I can have a full teammate party); Id just pretend anything after the end of shore leave never happensJ

the game loading lightin' fast for me on old fashion hard drive.

another thing I like about the game is that when leave and then come back to an area, enemies don't respawn as in most ARPGs. This way I dont have to kill everything over and over again.

This game has everything that an ARPG has, yet with interesting lore, quests and dialogues, thats something special when most ARPGs are Diablo clones, including Diablo 3 itself.

the only thing Id like to see some improvement is its limited isometric camera view. Would like to see freer camera as in Dungeon Siege 3, Sacred 2, and Mage Knight: Apocalypse.

ARPG is not my cup of coffee, but this game is surprisingly good! Skills and loots are as good as an ARPG can get.

The difference is that, compared to most ARPGs, including Diablo 3, the dialogues are pretty well written and oftentime really funny; area map is well designed with interesting sidequests; yes, sidequests are actually quite interesting.

Of course the monster hunting setting also sets this one apart from the usual medieval fantasy variant of the genre.

[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"][QUOTE="Elann2008"]That's awesome. Not to go off-topic but, Nvidia is offering Metro Last Light right now. I kinda wish I didn't buy my gtx 670 two months ago :-(Elann2008
Aren't there new NVIDIA cards coming out relatively soon?

Yup. Rumored to come out within 1-2 months or so.

the problem is, if you already have a gtx 670, I don't think any new card will be worth it, no matter what game is in the bundle.

forget about Titan, that's for epeeny enhancement.

I did, I see some very cool 3D Vision stuff, including games and tons of community info and comments (see Forum link below). I don't understand your point at all. Here is the link to the Nvidia 3D Vision User Forum:

https://forums.geforce.com/default/board/49/3d-vision)/

So what's your point?

Cheers :)

mrbobbster

my point is that I'm a regular of that forum (and one of the very few 3D vision users posting here as well); if you have anything to say about my "shilling for competitions," we can have this conversation over there.

and we can also talk about what I and many others mean by Nvidia's pulling plug off 3D vision; 3D vision is amazing currently more due to great PC gaming community (leading by Helix) instead of Nvidia.

Huh? Since when did Nvidia stop supporting 3D Vision? Do you have some official statement or are you just shilling for the competition?

mrbobbster

go to Nvidia official 3D vision forum and call me "shilling for the competition" again.

just answer the question: why does Nvidia promote 3D visoin with a game, Borderlands 2, they rate as 3D vision "not recommended"?
