@skippert: the giant with a poisoned sword was in my way, barring the door to a castle, after I had to traverse a long bridge where enemies are shooting catapults at you while you cross. I had to go through that giant to access the castle. It's way east from the starting point in the open world. I would have beaten him with the cheat if it weren't for the f'ing poisoned sword. Any other giants I came across in the game, I ignored. Anyway, I won't be touching that game again.
That's because you're trying to storm the castle of the 3rd major boss in the game 10hrs in. You completely skipped the first and second boss lololol. Read a walkthrough and go Limgrave->Weeping Penninsula-->Liurnia of the lakes---> *Then* Caelid. You're in Caelid. I have not been a fan of the difficulty of the Souls games. I wanted to like Bloodborne, but just couldn't get the mechanics down. Elden Ring is totally different. I'm like 77hrs in, I beat Redahn, now I'm fighting a Baleful Shadow, and I die at least a few times each play session. But you learn and get better.
I have a Switch, a PS5/4 pro, an Xbox one X and Series X, a PC, PSVR, and I can't play your GOTY. It's a niche game if hardly anyone played it or could even afford to.
@Atzenkiller: I paid $350 as well, so that's actually a good deal if they actually had any in stock. However I'm not going 2 months without my xbox. So let's see if they do this around launch.
