@oldschoolvandal While most games at launch are titles also available or soon to be available on the PS3/360, a lot of them have been improved either in stability or content or features. So there's that but, truthfully, I wouldn't buy a Wii-U just for that but there's the guarantee of Nintendo's top tier games so it makes the launch line-up look even more enticing. As for an accessory giving the Tablets extra control options, devs will have to assume everyone will buy it AND have a Tablet. It's a lot like the 3DS's Circle Pad Pro accessory, most games will simply not use it as the device itself doesn't come with those enhancements. Also, just remember this is still launch. No console comes with a ton of AAA games at launch, there will be more games later on.

@bigruss51 Seeing as games this generation struggle to hit 720p and Epic has said that the PS4/720 aren't powerful, which matches up with what Kaz has said and the leaked 720 documents, I sincerely doubt any PS4/720 game will be in 4K, especially since 4K is way more expensive then when HD was introduced and not everyone has HD yet. At best, it'll be like how the PS2/Xbox supported HD but didn't have any HD games. Seeing as HD has just become the standard and with 4K not being a huge leap, I don't see 4K being the standard anytime soon, especially with Sony's financial situation. Sorry buddy but it's going to be more like last generation as far as power goes. Oh and Nintendo has a LOT more than just Mario, only an ignorant hater would say that.

@RBRTZZX Only two of those games are made by Sony. Are you seriously going to put multiple developers against 1? Also, if you seriously think Nintendo hasn't made new IP's since then or changed any old IP, then you're living in denial

@WolfGrey for how long? 10 mins? That's not long enough to actually declare a controllers Sucks. It takes time to get used to a new one. It took me about an hour to get used the Xbox controller.

The problem with the Wii was that the Wiimote was Nintendo trying to re-invent the wheel. It just didn't work with most games. The GamePad's screen is optional and is more like a traditional controller so developers would have to try and make "gimmicky" games. As for Nintendo appealing to the casual audience, have you SEEN the launch line-up? There are at best 3-4 casual games, games that are out-shined by titles like Tekken Tag Tournament II, Assassin's Creed III, DarkSiders II, etc. Besides, the price point is a bit scary for your average casual gamer and they've migrated to smart phones anyways and Nintendo's repeatedly said that they're more interested in going after the core audience this gen, something they're proving with titles like Bayonetta 2, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, etc. As for Sony and Microsoft using Tablets to counter the GamePad, you're forgetting the fact that they don't have buttons or analog sticks or anything like that. At best, they'll be used like SmartGlass.

Also, just because those games are JRPG's and appeal to niche audiences, doesn't mean they don't count. Good new IP's count, regardless of appeal. Also they create new IP's all the time, in the sense that they create new games with familiar faces. Look at Metroid Prime, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, Kid Icarus Uprising, etc. Yes they use the same characters but they play completely different. As for Skyward Sword, precise movements = waggle? Not sure if serious...not to mention it did A LOT more than just that. It added an improved combat system, upgrading weapons and equipment, made thorough use of your equipment throughout the game, etc.

I wouldn't count on that buddy, although I know you're being sarcastic. I still remember that Final Fantasy tech demo on the PS3 and still no game looks anywhere near as good as that.

@WolfGrey @emptycow @Thunderbear24

I know that but, however, Epic isn't the only one who uses their engine. Other developers use them as well.

As for the GamePad, you do realize that due to it being the standard controller you'll have no choice but to use it for a lot of games? Also, before you write it off so quickly, at least give the controller a good 1 hour to see if you like it or not.
