Won't this just lead to less Nintendo games being cast and streamed? Seems an odd move for a company that isn't exactly leading in market share these days. I've got into playing a lot of games I otherwise wouldn't have been interested in purely because I saw them played so well by others. You'd think Nintendo would want to encourage more exposure for their games rather than less.
The problem for me isn't with the games or how they look, it's that there are just too many titles being released. I have limited hours in the week. I'd love to play the new Tomb Raider, but I simply don't have the time and so it goes on the "when I see it for cheap on Steam" mental checklist.
Great graphics are always welcome but they aren't everything. If 3.4 million units is a failure then it's time to reign in the budget a bit. A good story, solid soundtrack, and fun mechanics will win for me. I may not be able to buy it right away (I'm busy!) but at least 3.4 mil could be considered a success again.
