I've felt for awhile that the ideas of culture, differences and the sheer depth that Bioware/Atari/Bethesda often bring to their games is what really draws me in to playing their games. You have to expect people/beings of every possible kind, wants, desires, differences, sexualities and so much more beside but do you have to hate a game just because the colour of skin or sexual orientation of a few characters? Its sad that people just cannot ignore the bits that they dislike and appreciate the product as a whole. We need support behind the precious few companies that are reluctant to sell out to the masses. For my gaming experience I feel has suffered greatly as new games seem so bland, lacking any immersion and for some reason even graphially seem to be dated in this day and age. We can only hope those that do love the product will support it and encourage Bioware and Bethesda to keep concentrating on the story and gaming experience but we need to be mindful that they also have bills to pay and the publishers demand so much from the developers. (Even lately from the distributer too with the Game store and its sister vendors.) Everything is a collectors edition, a dlc and another way to try and part us with our money. That I can understand and cope with but its the need for games to demand I play online to unlock certain in-game content, progress fully or be the majority of the achievements, that would be one of my pet hates.

Sadly the death of PC based and story heavy quality games are dying a death. It seems to myself largely due to the downfall of the intelligence in society. Anything with any feel, story, immersion that has taken developers so long to do is not met with the appreciation it should be. I personally love Bioware and Bethesda games that are so deeply rich and enjoyable. Either way we all enjoy something different and this woman doesn't deserve the abuse for her point of view. Most games allow you to skip cutscenes and speech as it is, so I do not really see the horror of this discussion. It is only those games that force you to watch the cutscene every time you need to retry or play the game that can become tedious for me personally. Still is this a reason to abuse one of the people that bring us the product we enjoy? No, not really. Lets all get a grip and remember just because you can skip a scene doesn't mean you have too. That we are all entitled to an opinion and don't deserve undue abuse for it.
