Neverwinter had potential but they wasted it classic cryptic fashion....this game is nothing like D&D and is pretty stale....in every single area all we ever do is go,talk to the NPC,go help a bunch of guys by killing monsters and then talk to another NPC,collect reward,go into a enemy HQ,clear it out, boss battle, reward and then on to the next area to rinse and repeat.
That's like every other MMO out there. The only redeeming feature is the combat and even the crafting system is pretty limiting....there is no sure fire way to gather materials other than killing more monsters or buying at ridiculously high prices. Also the dungeon and skirmish queue times are horrendous, only the pvp is pretty quick but even that lacks variety.
All in all the game looked promising at closed beta but their failure to include any real diversity has cost them yet another game.
@kpolicoff This game is fun at the outset but it dies out rather quickly and I've been playing Neverwinter since closed beta and I kinda left it at open beta, honestly most of Cryptic's games tend to end up this way,the cash shop dominates most of the game and even respecing costs a few dollars. Free to play games are never free to play, its always Pay to win.
So in light of the gun shootings they discuss taxing "violent" media instead of enforcing more stringent restrictions on the possession and sales of guns, well that's a brilliant move.
