Has anyone tryed to use nylon-tipped drum sticks for rock band. I am curious about this, because sometimes the wooden sticks create a lot of noise when hitting against the pads. Thanks.

I'm planning on buying myself a new 160GB internal hard drive. BUT, I am puzzled about the difference between ATA-150 an ATA-6. I know ATA-150 is compatible with the PS3, but I am not sure if ATA-6 will work. This is the hard drive that I want to get (it has interface ATA-6) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148073 If you can help, I appreciate it greatly.

I have the motorola H700 headset right now, but im wondering if I should get the jabra headset that comes with the warhawk bundle. Which one is better? I'm not really sure how well my motorola headset performs, so I just want to know which one works better. Thanks.

Hi, I have beenplanning on upgrading my ps3 hard drive to 160GB sometime now. Although I am kinda lost on what to buy. Anyone have any recommendations on a good 160gb replacement hard drive. Also, when I do replace it will I lose my online purchases, game saves, psn id, etc... thanks.

If you were to format you drive right now. You would not lose your PSNID or PS Username. But you would lose your on-line purchase (until you downloaded them again: free for 5 times). You would also lose your Music, photos and games updates and game saves (PS2 and PS3). The cheaper way is to get a USB flash drive 2GB and move your game saves and anythiing else you want (music, photos) to it. And then just format the drive. You'd lose all your music and have to import it again. And you'd have to get your games downloaded again. The other way is of course to buy two HDDs. One USB HDD and one internal. That way all you have to do is do a BACKKUP. And the install the new drive, format it, and then do a RESTORE. Everything gets saved that way.

Thanks for the help, but let me get this straight. I do not need to save my online purchases on a external hard drive to retrieve them back on my new internal hard drive. I can just redownload them on my new internal hard drive, right. Also, I don't really care about saving my demos, music, photos to my new HDD, I just care about my game saves. So, do you think a 2GB USB flash drive will be enough memory to backup all my game saves. Thanks again for the help, I really appreciate it. :)

The PS3 switches screenmodes when loading and unloading applications. This switching breaks the video signal to your monitor. Your monitor thinks the signal has been terminated, and will display "no signal". For example the same should happen if you are using an optical out (a digital signal).ynfive

hmm, so is there a way to prevent this from happening less often?

This has been happening more often than usual with my ps3. When I am finished playing a game & I want to get back to the XMB, I push the PS button and open up the menu andselect 'quit game'. Usually this sends me to the XMB, although sometimes the screen will go blank and it will say 'no signal'. Since the system is still turned on, but the screen says 'no signal' I have to turn off the ps3 and then back on again just to get to the XMB. It is starting to get kinda annoying. Is anyone else experiencing this, andknow why this ishappening. ??? I am using an HDMI, maybe cable is faulty??? help.
