3% is absolutely awful: it has some of of the worst acting on Netflix and the story is just another (bad and derivative) teen dystopia.

@therealmattheew: It achieved previously unheard levels of critical acclaim for an open world game.

Metacritic lists 67 reviews about it, ALL positive, the worse grade is 9.0. The metascore is 9.8. Let's compare that to other acclaimed games of the genre:

- GTA V: 57 reviews, not all positive, worse grade 7.0, metascore 9.6.
- Red Dead Redemption: 73 reviews, all positive, worst grade 8.0, metascore 9.5.
- Skyrim: 32 reviews, all positive, worse grade 7.8, metascore 9.4.
- The Witcher 3: 78 reviews, not all positive, worse grade 7.0, metascore 9.2.

All the games above changed the game industry in a way, all of them were milestones when launched, so you bet Breath of Wild is, *at least* at the same level, and probably above them.

You argue it may *look* like a regular open world Zelda, everyone who played it says it a big deal of a game. What is more trustworthy: the perception of a regular person that haven't even played the game, or the professionals who have? Once again, I have played the game, so *I* am not saying this game is great, I'm just pointing to a whole bunch of professionals that said so..

(PS: the specifics grades of the games I mentioned above may vary a bit according to platform, the point still stands).

@deviltaz35: I know, and this effect isn't exclusive do "cel shading". In general, the more realistic a game look, the worse it ages, the more "cartoony" or "artsy" it looks, the better it ages. I love cel shading and games that try different art styles.

@beuneus12: It's not like this kind of look is everywhere and taking the whole industry, is it? So let's allow a few games to use this art style because, y'know, contrary to your particular taste, lots of people love it.

@jaredj:According to what the reviews are saying, looks like it's embarrassing for all other open world games for having tried for years and years and never achieving what Breath of Wild achieved. But, like you, I haven't played it, so, please, ignore me and all the reviews and keep on believing what you commented. :)

@OsirisEG: The buy one of Nintendo amazing consoles. After all, Breath of Wild isn't even available on the only shitty Nintendo console in history (Virtual Boy)

@oskeezee: If you already have Wii U and isn't sold yet on Switch, why not just play it on your old console? I'm sure Switch will turn out to be an amazing console eventually, but nothing is lost on waiting for a hardware revision or at least a black friday promo.
