@Juub1990: I don't see it because it's not there. Maybe you can provide a better comparison? This is an example of blurry ground textures (The Witcher 3):
@skektek: If you had The Witcher 3 on PC you would know textures like that are nothing impressive.
Problem with Horizon is that at times the textures are inconsistent as I showed you above. Sometimes the textures are very blurry especially the ground ones. You saying it's not up for discussion tells me you probably don't have The Witcher 3 running at 4K on Ultra.
I wouldn't say one game looks better than the other. They have their strenghts and weakness but textures goes The Witcher 3 without a doubt. Consistent 2024x2024 textures across the board is better than textures that go from 1024x1024(probably lower at times) to 2024x2024. That's quantifiable.
I'm sorry but your screenshots don't support your point. Overall HZD is a better looking game.
@skektek: Foliage TW3. You know it's dynamic and not just some static painting.
and nope. Textures don't go to Horizon.
Don't even think consoles can actually handle the textures of TW3 at Ultra.
No way. Just look at any screenshot or video. All the foliage in HZD responds to the wind which is itself variable. Sometimes there is high wind, sometimes it is still, yet other times there are rain, snow, or sand storms where the wind is blowing fiercely.
Don't even get me started on the immersion breaking pop-out in TW3. You get within 5 feet of a tree or a bush and it magically winks out of existence (then back in).
HZD smokes TW3 on textures, that's not even up for discussion.
These aren't cut scenes. You can can look at Aloy at anytime.
