My hard drive was going bad, so today I got in a new one.  I have my ssd and a few programs on a ssd, but a majority of stuff is of course on the hard drive.  How can I transfer everything on to the new hard drive so everything will work as before?  Im not worried about how long it takes as long as everything will work as before.

Several questions here

  1. I am using a 212 evo as my cpu cooler. I bought a nzxt 200mm fan for the side panel but it wont fit due to the evo. Is there any 200mm fans that should fit?http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039825M6/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1[1] is the current one I have.

  2. I got a http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030DL37I/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1[2]to use for a second fan on my cpu cooler. should this be on the pull or push end of the cooler. Im not sure if it would be better or worse than the stock one.

  3. Right now im using the 200mm as a second fan on the top of the case. I have it blowing out. The 200mm fan thats already on there (above the cpu) is also blowing out. Would it be better if I have it pull in? It seems like im just pushing out all the cool air that the back fan pulls in.

  4. My two side panel 120mm fans are both pulling in. would it be better to have them push out to work with the gpu push?

  5. Before the new fans, the highest my case tempid got was around 40c, now its going to 50c just from web browsing - whats that about..

1) Don't look at gta to gauge performance, it is poorly optimized and runs like ass on basically every computer.

2) Have you benchmarked your ssd?  Loading times are almost entirely based on SSD/HDD performance.

3) Is your SSD set to AHCI in the bios?

1. im just using it to compare since its one of the main games I play, and I ran over double fps on my old computer. On other games such as leauge of legends I get 0 fps increase, and crysis 3 I only saw about 2-5fps increase. 2. I have not, how do I go about doing that? 3. yes

this computer is definitely faster than your old computer.  The cpu isn't really an upgrade from your old phenom II though.  The 7950 is a big jump from a 5850.  You could have saved alot of money by just getting the new gpu.  What is your power supply?

My psu is a rosewill hive 750w. I read that the extra cores would really help with rendering.

My old computer - amd phenom ii x4 955be, 8gb ddr3 1066, wd black 640gb, hd 5850 1gb.

New computer - amd fx 8350, 16gb ddr3 1600, wd black 1tb, samsung 840 pro 128gb, hd7950 gb.

Games load slower, mostly League of legends. Doesn't matter if I have it on ssd or hard drive, it takes about 3x longer to load than on my old computer.

One of the main games I play, gta 4, runs at about half the frame rates. I could run around 20-30fps on my old computer, this one can only play around 10-14fps.

I also have slower render times on 3ds max than I did on my old computer.

I have all the most recent drivers, and im running at the same resolution that I always have. My temperatures are fine, cpu 20c idle, 35-40c load. gpu 37c idle, 50c load @ 22% fan speed. I used the ssd optimization guide thats posted on the sidebar.  Im running windows 8 64 bit.  I was running the same thing on my old computer before I upgraded and had no problems.

here is a 3dmark I just ran. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/502164

Yesterday at bestbuy I purchased this to replace my 22in 1680x1050 monitor.

The tv

After setting it up and configuring the settings, the text is almost unreadable and games/movies look worse than they did on my monitor. Its also only 6000:1 contrast ratio, which was not advertised at bestbuy. It also has a lot of dead pixels, so im going to take it back and either replace or get a different tv.

Both of these were tvs I was also looking at.

http://www.amazon.com/LG-42CS570-42-Inch-1080p-120Hz/dp/B006ZH0JQM/ref=sr_1_1?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1364126572&sr=1-1

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN40EH6000-40-Inch-1080p-120Hz/dp/B0073WAK8K/ref=sr_1_1?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1364126527&sr=1-1&keywords=tv

Should either of them look better as my monitor? Once my wall mount comes in I will only be using it for games/movies, but I do have a few days of using it as my main monitor as it is on my desk at the moment, and no room for my regular monitors.

If neither of them would be much better is there any off amazon or bestbuys website that would look any better for no more than $600?

Another question I have is: my tv will not run in 120hz, which it is a 120hz tv. Whats the deal with that?

All stock settings never overclocked, and no viruses, or performance effect outside of games.

Temperatures never hit above 50 on my cpu or gpu, and nothing not unusual in the background.

My specs:

hd 5850 1gb, 8gb ddr3 1333 ram, phenom ii x4 955be

I recently have been trying to play games again, but during the game my games almost crash, and run very slow.

Randomly during gta4, I will drop from 30fps to 10fps, and it stays there for about a minute before returning to normal. I used to play all the time without issue.

During Borderlands 2, when ever an enemy comes on screen, I will drop from 60fps to 10fps, going back to normal shortly after all enemys are gone.

After this happens the first time, my video card goes up to 95-100% usage, and will stay there for the rest of the time I am running the game.

I tried updating my video drivers to the latest drivers, but that helped nothing. I also recently reformated, not sure if that makes a difference in finding the issue.
