Don't know for sure but in my case it happened because of lag and in most cases pretty low one, 80ms. When you encounter lag spikes, PB loses some packages along the way and if it loses a certain number, it thinks that something is not working right or you are cheating, resulting in a "0 minutes" kick from the server. It doesn't know what might be wrong and it just kicks you, just to be sure that nothing will happen, cheat/lag/error/failure. I got problems like this mostly in ETQW and in CoD4 a few times (one time I couldn't make it work and all it took was a restart). If you are using an internet browser, downloading or doing something that is related to the internet, close them all and play the game also see if the firewall (if you have an antivirus) restricts the bandwith or the internet usage.

Other than that sorry :( that's how I fixed my problems with PB and I rarely have problems with it.

While playing CoD4, I get this error (I would copy/paste the picture, but damn Firefox isn't letting me copy/paste, but this is exactly what it says): Tim PunkBuster kicked player 'Tim' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: service Communication Failure: PnkbstrB.exe driver failure (PnkDstrK.sys) ffa0

I tried manually installing all the files, reinstalling CoD4. Any help? It sounds like the .exe is corrupt, but www.evenbalance.com doesn't let you download an installer so I am stuck there.
