@Serious Your point is highly valid, however there's a problem. You can't really rely on kids as a profit margin. With the Wii being still usable any child who would buy this,likely already owns a Wii. Even if they didn't why bother buying this one if a Wii is probably cheaper and the likely hood of replacing the controller cuz Jimmy smashed it on the floor by accident is less likely. And unless parents get off on buying expensive hardware for their 3 yr old, not to mention maybe only 2 or 3 games would it really be a good idea to carter a system to an age group who isn't even old enough to have a job?

@Kingjames11 That's too true. My friend was actually kind of disappointed by the controller. The HD output is good, but that was pretty much all that was wrong with the Wii anyway (minus the annoying bad placement of buttons) and isn't worth wasting money on a whole new system for.
