Nel and Vaan spend all morning cleanung up the sticky marshmallow mess they made last night. Nel decides a nice swim in the glen would be great to clean up the stickiness on herself. Feeling better, she heads back to camp only to see the hand of Omega smashing someone.:?

Balthier running into the his tent has Nel wanting to know what is going on. She walks over to the fallen person and sees it's Vaan, rushing to he side, she asks, "Vaan are you okay?"

Vaan: "Just catching my breath!"

Nel: looks around and sees the paper, she picks it up and reads it. :shock: "Vaan, what is this?"

Vaan: *shrugs* "I don't know where it came from, but that explains Omega appearence!":evil:

Nel: standing up, Nel, turns to stare at the tent. "Well Balthier, knows, and he's going to tell me, right now!":x She storms into the tent.

Vaan: "Wait for me!" as he scrambles to his feet to follow.

Balthier: looks up with a raised eye, "Yes, you want something?"

Nel: throws the paper at him, "Explain this! Now!":x

Balthier: *sighs* "Okay, this is what happened........." He explains everything.

Nel: *Vincent again, huh!* She narrows her eyes. and exits the tent without saying another word.

Vaan and Balthier watch her leave. Balthier: "Uh Oh! Vincent in for it again." he *giggles* Vaan also *giggles*, "Yup!"

Not wanted to waste time with inviting anything, Nel heads straight for her target. That red eyed wonder boy.;)

This time Nel stands in the center of the arena and calls forth Vincent. He saunter into arena and looks at Nel.

Vincent: "Yes, what do you want?"

Nel: "You have two options: Accept my conditions and live, or refuse and die here!"

Vincent: starts to walk slowly toward her, and says, "Okay, what are your conditions?"

Nel: falters under those eyes but shakes it off quickly. "Leave the Sky Pirates alone?"

Vincent: "And what else?"

Nel: "and we'll leave you all alone!"

by this time Cloud and Belgamine appear behind Vincent.

Balthier: having come up behind her whispers, "We got your back, Nel. Don't let him get to you!"

Nel just nods slightly to say she heard him.

Cloud: "I'm leader, so no agreement is final without my okay!" he growls.

Balthier: stepping forward says, "Like wise!" as the two leaders stare each other down.

Vincent makes a move which has Nel instantly moving. She calls upon runeology and excutes 'Flying Guillotine' against Team Death Machine. All three members are lying on the ground moaning from the sudden attack.

Balthier: "Nicely done! Such Flare!" ;)

Vaan: "Thanks, Nel! that fire really burned."

Nel: Looks at both guys and smiles, "No Thanks needed. I'm just doing my job!" All three head back to camp......

Nel stumbles onto a hidden glen and seeing the sparkling water decides to go for a swim. Relaxing and enjoying the water, she hears the explosion. Swimming quickly to the water edge she hauls herself out and gets dressed quickly. She hopes no one is hurt and rans back toward camp. 30 mins later she sees that the camp has been hit with something.

It's strikes her odd that the black remains of an explosion is all around but the tents are still intact. Then she notices that they are new. Fayt and Cliff come walking toward her.

Fayt: "Hey Nel, you okay?"

Cliff: "Yea, that blast was pretty nasty!"

Nel: "I'm fine, I was somewhere else. What happened?"

Fayt: "I don't know, we were watching Balthier's lame attack and then Vaan ran in and grab some gil and was gone! not every exciting really."

Nel: "Hmmm that's not like them. Wonder where they are too?"

Cliff: "Well, Fayt and I will go check around to see if anyone has seen them."

Nel: "Thanks! See ya later" Fayt and Cliff take off.

She decides to check the tent the guys share and as she nears she can hear loud snoring come from it. Entering the tent she sees both Balthier and Vaan are sound asleep. Awww they are so cute when they are sleeping. :P an idea *giggles* just hit Nel. She goes outside and runs to a food shop and purchases some whipped cream. She goes back to camp and enters the tent. She puts some whipped cream in both Balthier's and Vaan's hand. Then taking a feather she tickles Balthier's nose. *giggles* when Balthier smacks his face with the hand that has the cream in it. She is amazed he didn't wake up.

She turns to Vaan now and trying not to laugh out loud, she does the same to him.:P again the same but Vaan didn't wake either. The laughter is harder to contain as she looks at them with whipped cream all over their faces. She decides that maybe she better get out while the getting is good.

Cliff and Fayt approach.

Cliff: "Someone said that after the explosion and when both came too, they cleaned the camp up and then disappeared."

Nel: "Yea they are sleeping in the tent."

Fayt: "Well at least they are okay."

Nel: "Did you find out who did this?"

Cliff: "Oh yea, Vincent is bragging about it."

Nel: :shock: "Vincent!" her eyes narrow. :evil: her eyes start to match her hair color.

Fayt: seeing the rage coming from Nel, pulls on Cliff's arm and whispers, "We'd better get out of here fast!" Cliff agrees and the pair take off at a run.

Nel heads for the camp of Team Death Machine. Upon entering she sees them sitting there and can hear Vincent loudly boosting of the deed. Now her eyes are just as red as his and when Vincent finally sees her, he swallows hard. Whipping out her death bringer blades, she screams and like a demon possessed hits Vincent first, then spins and hits Cloud and before she can react, hits Belgamine.

Pausing to look at the damage she did, Nel slowly regains control of herself. Before heading back to camp, she says to team death machine, "Death awaits the over-confident, Remember that!" She turns and walks away.

Nel tells Vaan to go find Balthier. It's good to have a such a quick person on the team.:lol: Since the guys are out of camp, Nel decides to head to her inventing room to prepare something special to celebrate, Vaan's quickness:) and Balthier finally admitting he can't invent.:lol:

Enters Inventing room............

Picking up her book (the SOTET guide book;) ) she starts flipping through the pages to the section she wants to find something in it. She scans down the list of possibilities. *mmhmm* that looks good.:D Having decided she gets started....

.............................. "Damn, burnt it. Now I have to start over!" Argh!

..............................

.............................. "Was that 20 mins or 30 mins?" mmhmm refers to book:roll:

.........*ding*........... *inhales deeply* "hmmm!" the aroma wavers up making Nel's mouth waters.:P

Walking back into camp, carrying a tray loaded with three plates, Nel walks toward the guys smiling.

Balthier: *smiles* "I could smell it from here and was hoping you would get here soon. I'm starved!"

Vaan: "Yea, me too!" trying to see what smells so good.

Nel gives each of them their plate........*Amazing Tenderloin* with side dishes:P

All three dive in and enjoy the food, convo, and friendship!:D

*Nel stares like in a trance. Those eyes! Why do they affect her so?*

Vaan rans into arena to see the damage and is confused by Nel's lack of action as he sees Vincent and Cloud speed away. He runs over to Balthier......

Vaan: "Are you okay?"

Balthier: "huh? What? Where?" he had passed out for a second.

Vaan: "Where are you hurt?" as he starts looking for what damage Chaos Vincent, may have inflicted.

Balthier: regains some control, and he looks towards Nel and see's she is still just standing there staring. Shaking his hurting head and says, "Snap her out of it! Damn, I knew this was going to happen!":evil:

Vaan: "How?" as he looks toward her too.:?

Balthier: *wonders why he is feeling pangs of jealousy, he likes Fran, damn it!* He slowly gets up and walks over to Nel with Vaan following close behind. "Nel!" he yells.

Nel: *stares*:P

Balthier looks at Vaan and Vaan shrugs.

Balthier: :roll: rolls his eyes, and smacks Nel in the back of the head. *hehe*

Nel: :shock: "What the hell! did you do that for?" rubs the back of her head.

Vaan: *giggles* "You were zone out over Vincent it seems!" :lol:

Nel: :evil: "I was not, so be quite!" she storms off.

Balthier: Yells at Nel's back, "Keep you mind on the game plan, Zelpher!":x *more mad at himself than her*

Nel is really upset with herself. What is it about that man's eyes? Argh! She has to do her attack and needs to think, so she head to a quite spot outside the area where she can think. Sitting on the ground, leaning back against a tree, she closes her eyes.

Who and what use. She can't face Vincent so soon. Hmmm okay, now she knows which team to attack, but how. She thinks about all the runeology symbols she knows. :twisted: An idea forms. Jumping to her feet she dashes to the arena. She hope this works, she has never tried combining two runeologies together. Using both hands she draws the symbols needed for each using the words from each to create a combo.

Nel: "Chobi, Quistis, Vivi prepare yourselves!" why she yelled a warning she doesn't know. Dark clouds form and from the sky drops the mother of all storms. Combining Lightning Chain and Whirlwind has an awesome effect.

It blows Nel backwards and she lands against Balthier who keeps her from hitting the ground. Vaan, Balthier and Nel watch in aw as the storm bears down on Team Mortifiers, but before the storm can do the damage that was excepted the Viking shield and protect spell absorbs part of the storms fury.

Balthier: "Damn that was impressive! More your usual flare!":D

Vaan: "Yea, that was great!":)

Nel: with a cocky smiles says, "And that's how you do it!"

Balthier throws back his head and laughes :lol: and Vaan joins in :lol: Nel just smiles:) and shakes her head at them. All three head back to camp.

Finally she enters her inventing room :twisted:

Picking up her book she starts thumbing throught the pages.

Balthier: "What have you there?"

Nel: "A magic Tome which I'm going to use.":twisted:

Vaan: "What does it do?"

Balthier: "I'd like to know that too!"

Nel: winks;) "Watch an see, then!"

Nel heads out and stops to use the tome

Calling out to Team Mortifiers, Nel uses the max on 'Shockwave' and releases the spell on them.

Back at camp.....

Vaan: "Blah! that was boring!"

Balthier: "I have to agree, not your usual S.tyle or flare!"

Nel: "I no it. I got started and time just got away from me so I had to rush it.!":P

Nel rushes to Odin's Ole Shoppe and listens to the riddles. As soon as she hears the first one she yells, "I know this one." and gives the answer. "Cyan's wife name was Elayne and their son was Owain" She tells Mag to send the gil to her camp if she got the question correct.

She exits the Shoppe and heads to do her attack. She doesn't have time to invent anything right now.

She walks up to Team Death Machine and using her 'death bringers' slices away at each team member.

Back in camp

Balthier *seeing the the weapons* decides not to push Nel. so he swallows his challenge about Fran. He'll do it later.

instead he asked, "What have you been up too?"

Nel: "Nothing much. Just a little exerise to flex my muscles!" she puts a smudge smile on her face.

Vaan: "and what else? From the look on your face, you've done more than flexed your muscles!"

Nel: "I may have earned our team a cool 500 gil is all!"

Balthier: leaps to his feet, "How?"

Nel: "Answered a question over at Odin's Shoppe."

Vaan: "Cool, we could use some gil!"

Balthier: "Yea, it would be nice."

Nel goes to clean up while Balthier and Vaan talk or do whatever it is they do when she's not around.:P

Nel breaks out laughing at Balthier and laughes even harder when he wiggles his eye brows while streching his arm ups then he puts his hands behind his head and laces his fingers.

Vaan: looks at Nel and says, "He does like to make an entrance!"

Balthier: raises one eye brow at Vaan, and chuckles.

Nel: still chuckling at their war of words, says, "Well then, maybe it's my turn to get started!" rubbing her hand together and laughing evilly. "but first I have to set up my inventing room, you know?" she winks at both of them and heads out behind the camp.

Vaan: looks at Balthier in question, "Inventing room?"

Balthier: laughing heartily, says, "Don't you remember that last time when she invented those 'Tricky Duck Bombs'?"

Vaan: "Oh yea, I had forgotten!" Vaan continues to setup camp.

An hour later:

Nel: "Done!" she smile brightly.

Vaan: "Are you going to invent something for you first attack?"

Nel: "Nope, I think I'll use runeolgy first!"

Nel takes off to engage in her first attack. Entering the arena, she spys her target. drawing the runeology symbol needed she called out to Cloud, Belgamine, and Vincent. *Nel pauses for a second, shakes her head and reminds herself. Don't look at his eyes*:P

Nel screams "Ice Daggers!" and let's the attack loose to hit Team Death Machine with it's full force.

Nel re-enters the camp with a smudge smile on her face.

"Done!" she says.

Balthier: "Well done, I like that move!"

Both Nel and Balthier look to Vaan..........."Well........"they both say at the same time.:D

Terra walks with Steiner and Vivi into the middle of the Colosseum and approaches the Queens of Conquest. They stop and bow to Penelo, Ashe, and Lightning.

Terra: We the Crystal Guardians salute you Queens of Conquest. Thank you!

We thank you Darmi, Legend_cloud, and seankulbeth for taking part in this battle. We had great fun. Even though you lost, we will carry the spirit of the Queens of Conquest with us into the next battle.:D

Now Crystal Guardians to the planning room. We have a strategy to plan, and shopping to do.:P
